Intrix looks at the actual citation process of AI, not search rankings.
INTRIX is a Korean GEO agency specializing in Generative Search Optimization (GEO), AI Search Optimization, and Technical SEO.
Using real data, we track why brands are searched, why they make the shortlist, and why they are selected or rejected as the source for the final answer in generative AI such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.
We do not consider the number of backlinks, content publication volume, or simple impressions as GEO performance.
We diagnose based on actual AI citations and the process by which those citations are created.
Intrix's GEO methodology looks at three data points together.
1. AI SEARCH: What Did AI Find?
We track how user questions are rephrased into search terms, which search results and documents the AI explores, and whether our brand is included in search candidates.
Through the proprietary system Intrix-CT (Citation Trace)
Observe the entire process: QUESTION → QUERY FAN-OUT → SEARCH → RETRIEVAL → SOURCE → CITATION.
This distinguishes actual elimination sections such as Discovery, Selection, and Arena, rather than simply "not cited by AI."
2. WEB SITE: Is our site ready to be cited?
We check the Technical SEO and GEO foundations with the self-diagnostic system Intrix-Audit .
We analyze the structures necessary for search engines and generative AI to discover, understand, and utilize sites, including Discovery, Index, Structure, Page, Entity, Schema, Performance, AI Access, Answerability, and Trust.
Instead of listing the number of errors, identify the root causes that caused the multiple errors and determine the priority for fixing them.
3. COMPETITOR: Why Did AI Choose a Competitor?
We do not arbitrarily designate top search sites as competitors.
It takes the URL actually cited by the AI in the same question as a competitor.
We use our proprietary system Intrix-Diff to compare the differences between actual cited pages and our pages, including Facts, Trust, Structure, and Entity, and derive actionable improvement items.
Intrix does not view SEO and GEO as the same.
Technical SEO is an important foundation for AI and search engines to discover and understand brands, but search rankings alone cannot explain whether generative AI is cited.
Therefore, Intrix creates discoverability through SEO, and separately measures and verifies the actual search, candidate collection, and citation processes using GEO.
The main tasks are as follows.
Intrix directly verifies methodologies before selling them.
We operate our own GEO platform and Intrix Lab , experimenting with real data on variables that can influence GEO, such as AI Citation, search results, Technical SEO, Entity, Backlink, and Off-site Mention.
Measure, find the cause, correct it, and measure again under the same conditions.
Intrix validates GEO with data, not hypotheses, through Intrix Lab . Based on first-party data secured from its proprietary platform and real-world search environments, Intrix directly experiments with key variables such as AI Citation, Search Exposure, Entity, Technical SEO, Backlink, and Off-site Mention. Research designs require pre-registration, and the process and results are made public. Instead of repeating external GEO checklists, Intrix's principle is to incorporate only what is directly tested and verified into its methodology .
Intrix builds a sustainable growth system for brands by combining GEO's solutions with growth marketing.
Based on the philosophy that SEO and GEO are ultimately no different from branding, we play a role in creating information consistency and communicating to the world, ensuring that the brand's information and messages perceived by humans and AI are delivered consistently.
This is how Intrix does GEO.

Challenge
Although it was a brand that had expanded its business into a specific specialized field, the citation rate in that field was 0% in AI searches such as ChatGPT. Since there was sufficient relevant content on the website, simply adding content or securing backlinks could not explain the cause. We had to identify bottlenecks in the actual search and citation process to determine whether the AI was failing to discover the brand or including it in candidates but not selecting it.
Solution
Using Intrix-CT, we designed 64 questions reflecting actual demand and iteratively tracked the AI's Query Fan-out, search, document collection, source selection, and citation processes for 10 days. Instead of focusing solely on homepage content, we compared the website structure with external entity information. The analysis revealed that the core bottleneck was not a lack of content, but rather a discrepancy between the field designation in one external profile and the brand, so we corrected that information.
Result
Prior to the modification, the AI citation rate in the relevant field was 0%. After modifying the Entity information of the external profile identified as the cause, the citation rate rose to 29.4% in iterative measurements. This was not the result of mass publishing new content or adding backlinks, but rather the outcome of tracing back the actual search and selection process of the AI to identify and correct a single bottleneck. 64 questions · 10-day tracking · AI Citation 0% → 29.4%.

Challenge
Although we were operating a website as a high-involvement professional services company, there were only 3 actual conversions through the website over a period of 9 months. Rather than focusing solely on search exposure, there was a need to improve both the information structure—which allows visitors to understand the services and lead to inquiries—and the potential for brand discovery in search and AI environments.
Solution
Intrix reviewed and improved site structure, search engine discoverability, page answerability and trust, and brand information consistency from the perspectives of Technical SEO and GEO. We tracked performance based on actual inquiry conversions rather than simple traffic growth and configured the system to separately measure traffic generated from AI search.
Result
There were a total of 3 website conversions over the 9 months prior to the improvement, but 11 conversions occurred in the 30 days following the improvement. Of these, 2 were confirmed to be conversions from customers who discovered the website through ChatGPT. This is a case where SEO and GEO performance were measured not merely based on search exposure or AI mentions, but on actual business conversions.

Challenge
It was a brand-new business launched immediately after opening, with absolutely no domain history or customer reviews. Since there were virtually no accumulated trust signals regarding the brand from both search engines and AI, the priority was to clearly define the brand entity and ensure information consistency across the web, rather than trying to increase content volume or backlinks in the short term.
Solution
We did not rebuild the entire website or publish a large volume of content. Instead, we refined the presentation of existing content, aligned brand and expertise information across the website and key external channels, and linked official external channels to Schema.org structured data. We focused on three key elements to ensure that search engines and AI recognize them as the same brand entity.
Result
After applying three improvements, the first citation was confirmed in the generative AI response just two weeks after opening. Subsequent repeated measurements under the same conditions showed a continuous upward trend in the AI citation rate. This is a case where AI citations began through entity consistency and structural improvements, even without an old domain, a large volume of reviews, or extensive content.
